Notice the light under the DPF light looks like a squiggly ‘W’. Wait for all the lights to go off as normal then you are left with the regular lights and a flashing DPF light. Wait about 5 seconds and then pump the accelerator 10 times. Now that squiggly ‘W’ comes on then goes off.
The oil level rise is (most likely) caused by oil dilution by diesel. One main cause is DPF (Diesel Particulate Filter) regeneration. The DPF traps the soot generated by your diesel engine (hence no black clouds out of your exhaust). What happens in the Subaru EURO5 diesels is some diesel is injected on the exhaust stroke. As the light is on you will need to regenerate your dpf. You local spares shop will sell something you put in your fuel tank to regenerate your dpf. Simply put it in your fuel tank and go for a good run and take your revs above 2000 rpm and after about 20/25 mile the light should go out.
Member. : Mazda cx7 sport/2009. Jan 17, 2012. #2. Did you read the owners manual about this? I would like to guess that since its a diesel,The dpf light means that the DPF (Diesel Particulate filter) needs regeneration, meaning that there should be a switch you flip on with a engine symbol that will start the regeneration process, the engine
vehicle speed will be limited to 5 mph until DEF is detected in the tank. Flashing • The parked regeneration may take up to 40 minutes. • The parked regeneration is complete when the engine returns to idle and the DPF lamp remains off. The HEST light may remain on, but the vehicle can be driven.
Dpf light flashing. 2007 mazda 5 furano 2.0 diesel serviced and light reset but after 400 miles comes back on dpf filter removed and remapped each time the light is reset it comes back on after 400 miles. Posted by Tom Woodall on Jul 02, 2014.
