WAY too hard on battery and starter.:-x And this spring was no exception. I even tried that trick I read on this forum about hitting your kill switch on and off 20-30 times.

Longest day trip so far has been about 200 mi. To me it feels good but I have such little experience. I'd like to venture into some longer rides.

Honda makes great bikes. They have a good torque / hp / acceleration balance where you can cruise along or cram the throttle and it'll respond accordingly. 750s will do fine about 60-70mph on highway and shadows are fairly nimble to get you thru the back roads.. Personal experience; 750 didn't last me long but they're great "learners bikes".
