OK, here is how to lower the ride height by another 2 cm. Get the Touratech seat which they claim is more comfortable than the KTM rally seat, and which is 1 cm lower. Then raise the front forks in the triple clamps by 1.5 cm, thus lowering the front of the 1190 R by that amount, there is that amount of clearance.

At 229kg without fuel it’s 12kg heavier than the 1190 (mainly due to the bigger tank, heavier crank, and additional cornering lights and crash-bars). Its hyper-comfortable two-part seat is slightly wider but the same height, adjustable between 860 and 875mm albeit a bit fiddly to do so.
As it stands the level of buffeting at motorway cruising speeds is too high for comfortable long-term travel (well, it is for 6ft-plus riders), otherwise the bike is very stable and comfortable. What would have been nice is a cruise control.
